Free all-day bus travel for disabled people

Disabled people in England will be able to use their concessionary bus pass free of charge at any time of day from 1 April 2027.

The change will remove the current weekday restriction that prevents travel before 9.30am.

Around one million people are expected to benefit.

The Government says the change will help people travel to work, education, healthcare appointments and community activities.

More details will be shared before the new scheme starts.
