More local mental health support on the way
People across Surrey could find it easier to get mental health support in the future.
The Government is investing £343 million in new mental health services across England.
The plans include 100 community mental health centres and 59 mental health emergency departments.
The new services aim to help people get support earlier and closer to home.
The first sites are expected to open from autumn 2026. More locations are due to open from March 2027.
New services are planned across England, including Surrey, Guildford and Waverley, and East Surrey.
The changes aim to reduce waiting times and help people access support before problems reach crisis point.
