Get support with energy costs and help improve accessibility in Surrey

Surrey Coalition of Disabled People is offering support to help people with energy costs and is looking for local people to get involved in projects that could improve accessibility across Surrey.

Get free energy advice

You can get free advice and support to help reduce your energy bills. The service can help with:

  • joining the Priority Services Register

  • finding energy-saving opportunities

  • applying for energy grants

  • checking if you can claim Pension Credit

  • using the Fairer Warmth App to identify ways to save energy and access support

Apply for fuel vouchers and energy-saving appliances

Surrey Coalition of Disabled People can provide £49 fuel vouchers to members who need help with energy costs. 

Members may also be able to get energy-efficient appliances, such as microwaves and air fryers, if they do not have a suitable way to cook.

Share your experiences to improve accessibility

The organisation is carrying out research into the challenges disabled people face when accessing services and businesses in Surrey. The findings will help create disability awareness training based on real experiences.

Cycling session to create visual stories for Alice Holt Forest

Surrey Coalition of Disabled People is also looking for volunteers to take part in a cycling session at Alice Holt Forest on 30 July 2026. The session will help create visual stories that make it easier for people to plan their visit.

Participants will be photographed and filmed and asked to share their feedback.
