Asylum and Immigration Tribunal (AIT)
This is an independent group that looks at asylum and immigration cases.
You might be able to appeal to the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) if the Home Office has:
- said no to your asylum or protection claim
- refused your human rights claim
- made a decision under EEA rules, like:
- refusing a residence document
- deciding to deport them
- taken away your protection status
- taken away your British citizenship
You can appeal online or by post. The tribunal is not part of the government. A judge will listen to both sides and make a fair decision. To find out how to appeal, visit the website.
