Tissue Viability service

First Community Health and Care

Tissue Viability service work with other health care professionals who may also be involved in your care. They provide specialist advice and treatment for the prevention and management of pressure ulcers, surgical and other complex wounds that are taking a long time to heal. The tissue viability nurses offer evidence-based advice and guidance. They are a community-based service, where they will visit you in your own home environment or within a clinic setting.

Referrals are accepted from health professionals only. This could be a doctor (GP), practice nurse, district nurse or nursing home staff. – further details can be found from the website.
