Guildford Library of Things
Zero Carbon Guildford
Guildford Library of Things was founded in 2024 as a joint initiative between Zero Carbon Guildford and Guildford Library.
The Library of Things is a community project making it easy for locals to borrow tools, gadgets, and other handy items instead of buying them.
It is free to use.
The idea is to:
- save people money
- reduce waste
- bring the community together
The Library of Things stocks items such as:
- tools (drills, saws, hammers, bicycle tools)
- outdoors items (tens, gazebos, extension leads, folding chairs)
- gardening equipment (lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, strimmers)
- cleaning equipment (carpet cleaners, pressure washers)
- craft tools (sewing machine, laminator)
- electronics (computer game consoles, light box, green screen)
Guildford Library is situated near the top of North Street in Guildford town centre. There are:
- several nearby pay and display multi-storey car parks in the town centre
- some pay and display short stay on-street parking further down North Street
- two disabled spaces outside the front of the library
