Hear Here - hearing aid clinics

Surrey County Council SCC

Hear Here is a free service for people who use NHS hearing aids. It is run by the Diocese of Guildford in partnership with Sight for Surrey and the NHS. Trained volunteers, known as Hearing Champions, offer support in churches and community buildings.

At a Hear Here clinic, you can get help with:

  • checking your hearing aid
  • replacing batteries
  • re-tubing and cleaning ear moulds
  • checking the fit of your hearing aid
  • advice on using and caring for your hearing aid
  • support for new users
  • information about other services and useful equipment

The service is for people with NHS behind-the-ear hearing aids. It does not cover in-ear or private hearing aids, and volunteers cannot carry out hearing tests.

Most clinics are drop-in, so you can arrive during the advertised times. If you use Danalogic hearing aids, check the directory to see if your local clinic can support them.

Volunteers are trained by NHS audiology staff and have completed safeguarding and police checks.
