Employability Hub

East Surrey College and Jobcentre Plus

The Employability Hub at East Surrey College works with Jobcentre Plus to help people aged 19 and over who are unemployed or in low-paid work. They offer short courses and Sector-Based Work Academy Programmes (SWAPs) to help people get into work in specific fields.

They work closely with local employers to make sure the training matches what’s needed in the workplace.

Employability coaches can help with:

  • CV writing
  • job hunting
  • interview practice
  • support with maths, English, ESOL and digital skills
  • building the skills needed for work

All support is free and designed to help people move into lasting employment.
