Kidney Care UK - holidays and respite breaks

KidneyCare UK offers grants to kidney patients for holidays and respite breaks, helping them take a break from hospital visits and ongoing treatment.

Who can apply:

• low-income kidney patients significantly impacted by kidney disease.
• Must have an eGFR of less than 29% or be a transplant recipient, including those on dialysis or receiving conservative care.
• must be a legal resident of the UK, over 18 (or have an adult/guardian apply), have a UK bank account, and provide a summary of household finances.
• must have the support of a healthcare professional referrer (renal social worker, consultant, or kidney team member).

How to apply:

• contact your kidney unit social worker or a member of the kidney care team.
• wait for a grant decision before making any arrangements, as KidneyCare UK cannot reimburse deposits or payments already made.
