Riverside Park Nature Reserve
Guildford Borough Council
Managed by Guildford Borough Council, this 30-hectare reserve is located on the north-eastern outskirts of Guildford.
Things to see and do:
- enjoy views across the lake and reed bed
- picnic tables
- boardwalk routes to explore across the wetlands
- birdwatching at the bird hide
- feed the ducks on the main lake (frozen peas are best)
- just before sunset, look for bats eating midges
A cycle path runs from the car park at Bowers Lane through the nature reserve to Thorneycroft Wood. Cyclists can then access a wider network of paths, including a cycle path to Guildford Town Centre.
