Guildford United Reformed Church (URC) is an open and inclusive church that serves and connects with the local community. They work with St Nicolas Church, Guildford, and other churches and religious groups in the area.

This church is a Warm Welcome space, supporting residents during tough times. Warm Welcome spaces are places where people can drop in, get warm, have a hot drink, and be with others. It's simply a place to get warm. There will also be people available to give free energy advice.

The Church runs lots of community activities and support groups including:

  • rummikub - join for a friendly game every Monday from 10am to midday in the Sanctuary - free of charge.
  • Sunflower Café - dementia-friendly café every Wednesday from 10.30am to midday - offers interactive sessions for those living with dementia, their carers, and those feeling lonely - free of charge, but donations are welcome.
  • short mat bowls - every Thursday from 10am to midday in the Main Hall - suitable for new or experienced players - free of charge.
  • walking group - meets once a month on a Monday for local walks - walks are up to 5 miles with stops at cafes or pubs - contact Jess for details.
  • book club - meets once a month on a Thursday - members read the same book each month and discuss it together - free of charge.
  • community music - interactive music sessions one Friday per month from 11am to midday in the Sanctuary - free of charge, but donations are welcome.
  • warm hub - open every weekday morning from 9.30am to midday - provides a warm space, hot drinks, and friendly company - free energy advice available - no charge, but donations are welcome.
