Surrey Heath Community alarm, telecare and CareCall

Surrey Heath Borough Council

Offers a personal alarm service which provides emergency assistance and reassurance for those wishing to continue to live independently at home.

Community alarms are designed to support people of any age who may feel vulnerable in their home. This can include older people, those with a physical, sensory or learning disability, those at risk of falling, patients who have recently left hospital, or victims of crime who would benefit from extra peace of mind.

Sensors include: medication dispensers, fall detectors, epilepsy sensors, bed, chair and movement detectors, which may assist you in living independently.

Once signed up, routine visits are arranged to make sure the service continues to meet your requirements.

Home from hospital

For someone recently been discharged from hospital they may be able to provide a community alarm free of charge for a period of six weeks to help them settle back in at home. After this period standard charges apply.
