Home-Start Guildford

Home-Start is a charity that supports families with children under the age of 5. It recognises that parenting can be difficult, especially for single parents, families with twins or more, those facing domestic abuse or financial hardship, or those living far from family and friends.

Trained volunteers visit families each week for around nine to twelve months. They offer a listening ear, practical help and support with meeting new people.

Parents can refer themselves online or ask a health visitor, GP or other professional to make a referral.
