Tech Angels
Surrey Coalition of Disabled People
This service is for people who are most at risk of digital exclusion, including:
- disabled people
- people with a long-term health condition
- people with mental ill-health
- carers
- older people
- people from Black and minoritised ethnic groups
Due to funding limits, the service is only available in East Surrey, Surrey Downs and Woking.
The service has four parts. You can use all of them, or just the ones you need.
Tech Angels can:
- lend a device that suits your needs, such as a tablet, smartphone or smart speaker. You can keep the device for 6 months. After that, Tech Angels will contact you to see if you want to keep it longer.
- match you with a volunteer Tech Angel. You’ll agree together how you want to be supported and what you'd like to achieve.
- connect you to ‘Stay Connected’ virtual social groups, or other groups through the Virtual Wellbeing Hub.
- offer you the chance to become a virtual volunteer, if you're interested.
All services are free of charge.
