Scottish And Southern Electricity Network Priority Services Register
Scottish and South Eastern Power Distribution
People classed as vulnerable by their electricity network can apply to be added to their network's Priority Services Register, which gives them access to additional services and support from the network in certain situations.
Your electricity network is the company that manages your electricity cables. It is not the same as your electricity supplier, which provides energy to your household and sends out electricity bills.
Additional services that people on their electricity network's Priority Services Register may be able to access could include advance notice of planned power cuts, priority support in an emergency, additional support with meters and meter readings, and communications in an accessible form (for example, large print or Braille).
If you are a Surrey resident, who might be classed as vulnerable, you can apply to be added to the Scottish and Southern Electricity Network's Priority Services Register.
You may want to be on the register if you:
- Are deaf or hard of hearing
- Have a disability
- Live with children under five
- Are blind or partially sighted
- Have a chronic illness
- Use medical equipment/aids reliant on electricity
- Are over 60
- Temporarily need extra support
If your situation isn't listed, you might still be able to sign up for priority services for other reasons, just give them a call or talk to them through Textphone or use the BLS interpreter.
