Arthrogryposis Group (TAG)

A national support group for people, or families with children, who have the condition Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita - a term used to describe a baby born with multiple joint contractures and covers a wide range of conditions.

Arthrogryposis is not a medical diagnosis but a description of the condition. A contracture is a limitation in the range of movement of a joint; the joint may be fixed in either a flexed or extended position.

TAG also have some projects that are very beneficial for families with children who have the condition, examples being 'TAG Alongs' where members from different groups meet up to exchange their stories and have a chat. They are also working on a 'Camp' project where the children get to have a break.
