Spelthorne Boccia Club
Spelthorne Borough Council
Boccia is a disability sport that is similar to bowls and petanque. The aim of the game is to propel leather balls, coloured red or blue, close to a white target ball (the jack). It is played from a seated position and the ball can be moved with players' hands, feet or an assistive device, for example, a head or hand pointer.
The club meets weekly at Spelthorne Leisure Centre, Knowle Green, Staines. Free and no need to book, just turn up and join in.
