CAMEO Day Centres: dementia day care in Sunbury

CAMEO runs day sessions for people living with dementia in Sunbury-on-Thames.

The sessions also give family members and carers time to take a break.

CAMEO may also support people with other health needs if the service can meet their needs.

The day centre is open from 9.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

During the day, people can:

• take part in art and craft
• listen to music and join in with singing
• talk about memories
• join exercise and movement sessions
• play games
• meet and talk with other people
• enjoy visiting entertainers
• go on short local walks when suitable

Activities are planned for people with different needs and levels of ability.

Lunch, tea and coffee are provided.

Lunch is a two-course meal made at the centre. Meals include fresh fruit and vegetables.

A family member or carer can leave during the session if the centre has agreed that it can meet the person's needs.

CAMEO also supports family members and carers.

The team can:

• listen to your concerns
• help you find information about dementia
• tell you about benefits and other support
• help you find local services
• invite you to the monthly Care Café

The Care Café gives family members and carers a place to meet and share their experiences.
