The Bereavement Advice Centre is a free helpline and web-based information service provided by Co-op Legal Services. They give practical information and advice and signposting on the many issues and procedures that face people after the death of someone close.
They have a range of information and bereavement advice topics such as:
- what to do when someone dies
- registering a death and informing others
- probate and legal procedures
- death certificate and coroner's inquest
- the funeral
- money and tax issues
- coping with grief and bereavement advice
- planning ahead
They also offer a junk mail suppression service to reduce unwanted mail to the deceased and reduce the risk of identity theft.
