Place to be Café

St Mark's Church

Place to Be Café is a friendly and welcoming group for older people, people who live with dementia and their carers.

The group meets on Fridays from 2pm to 4pm. There is a small fee to attend. This includes tea, coffee, homemade cakes and all activities.

The café is a calm space to meet others, enjoy good company and take a short break from daily life. Local volunteers run the group. They offer a warm welcome and help everyone feel safe and included. The group offers gentle, enjoyable activities during the year.

These include:

  • music and live entertainment
  • quizzes and games
  • arts and crafts
  • seated exercise
  • board games

Time

Friday 2pm to 4pm. Parish office office hours are Tuesday morning and Friday afternoon.
