Men's Pit Stop Guildford Outdoor

Guildford Outdoor Men’s Pit Stop is an active men’s peer-to-peer talking group. The aim is to get men outside and enjoying fresh air.
Location:
- the outdoor group runs from the Rosamund Community Gardens
- Located in East Guildford near Pewley and Merrow Downs
- the nearest bus stop is on Epsom Road, near Tangier Road, and is a 20-minute walk from there
- limited parking is available on Longdown Road
Activities:
- Spend time outdoors doing jobs for the garden while spending time with other men
- Turn up in old clothes and do jobs around the garden, such as:
- building work
- carpentry
- planting
- watering
- harvesting
- cooking
- chopping wood
- making bird boxes
- and much more
Goals:
- create a men’s group that helps the local community garden
- reduce loneliness.
- learn new skills or share skills you have.
- increase connections and perhaps talk through difficulties you may have
- open to new ideas and ways to help as many people as possible.
Accessibility:
- the site is fairly flat but does not have hard paths, which may be difficult to access with a wheelchair
