Social Prescribing Services

Spelthorne Wellbeing Prescribing helps adults who need support with everyday life. It links people to local groups, activities and services that can help them feel well. Spelthorne Borough Council runs the service.

It for adults aged 18 years and over registered with a GP in Spelthorne and Woking.

People can have a one to one chat with a link worker. The link worker listens, talks through any worries and helps find the right support. They can support someone for up to 6 weeks.

The service can help with:

  • staying independent at home
  • meeting people and joining social activities
  • practical help like cooking, transport or shopping
  • being more active
  • benefits and budgeting advice
  • housing advice and home changes
  • mental or emotional support support linked to a disability
