Merrist Wood Volunteer Gardening Project

The Merrist Wood gardening project gives people the chance to garden in small groups at a beautiful local campus. It’s a way to meet others, learn new skills and feel better.

The project is open to people who:

• are on a low income
• receive state benefits
• struggle with wellbeing
• are over 65
• are single parents
• feel lonely
• have a disability
• are carers
• are from an ethnic minority

All tools are provided. Volunteers just need to wear sturdy shoes and bring gloves if they have them.
