Disabled Golf Association
The Disabled Golf Association is a national charity run by volunteers. It was founded to help disabled people enjoy the outdoors, improve their mental health and well-being and meet others while playing golf across England.
The charity welcomes anyone with a disability or impairment. This includes:
- amputees
- visually impaired and deaf golfers
- people with cerebral palsy
- people with fibromyalgia
- people with Down’s syndrome
- people with multiple sclerosis (MS)
- people with arthritis
- people with Parkinson’s
- stroke survivors
Each year, the charity runs around 40 to 50 events across the country from March to October. Members are automatically entered into the Order of Merit, where they earn points at each event. The best ten scores count towards their total.
