Seated exercise class - Horsley Wheel of Care
Horsley Wheel of Care
Horsley Wheel of Care's seated exercise class is great fun and is led by a professional exercise teacher. It involves gentle exercise while sitting comfortably, which may be particularly helpful for someone whose balance isn't as great as it used to be but who still wants to keep active. The movements are very easy, and you can join in as much or as little as you can.
There's a good mix of great music, including:
- nostalgic "sing-along songs"
- Latin music
- lots in between
There is always lots of laughter too! This class is suitable for a wide range of abilities as you just do what you want to or can do. It should also be suitable for people with either Parkinson's or Alzheimer's (please bring your carer with you).
Seated Exercise takes place on Wednesdays (term-time only) in the Cedar Room, which is fully wheelchair accessible.
Help with transport to/from the clubs can also be arranged for those living in the Horsleys, Effingham or Ockham - just ring the Duty Officer on 07788 552 767 up to one week in advance.
