Silver Line Telephone Friendship Service

Age UK

The Telephone Friendship Service is free and private. It is for people aged 55 and over. The service matches you with a friendly volunteer for a weekly chat.

The trained helpline team can:

  • give you information, friendship and advice
  • link you to local groups and services
  • offer regular friendship calls
  • protect and support older people who may be at risk of abuse or neglect

All calls to the helpline are free.

24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including Christmas
